About Me

This is diary of a Non Resident Indian (NRI). This acronym is also known as Not Required Indian, Not Reliable Indian, Not Really Indian in some circles. 🙂

Broadly speaking, this blog is mainly an attempt to view the world through a combined lens of skepticism and open mind. At the same time, I would ramble about diverse unrelated topics.

There will be plenty of references to Sanskrit language for the simple reason that in school days, Sanskrit language was my favourite one and I still retain the love of this ancient language although its ‘divine’ nature does not allure me anymore.

Michael Shermer, founder of The Skeptics Society, defines science as “a set of methods designed to describe and interpret observed or inferred phenomena, past or present, aimed at building a testable body of knowledge open to rejection or confirmation.” Source

National motto of India is ‘Truth alone prevails’ and since Science is one of the best tools we have available to get to the truth, we would do well to adopt a scientific approach to all aspects of life. Through methodology of science, we can discover the truth by observation & experimentation. In this context, this could possibly be the best motto any nation ever had.
